You pick a shell color. The internals get the same treatment regardless: an authentic Nintendo DMG board, a fresh IPS backlit screen with a glass-laminated lens, all eight electrolytic capacitors replaced, the AV-out buffer cap swapped, a new CR2032 holder for the save battery, new buttons and silicone pads.

The result feels like an unboxed 1989 Game Boy with a screen that’s actually pleasant to look at — sharp, bright, with a clean grid you can read in any light. We test every unit with a real cartridge before it ships (usually Tetris, sometimes Pokémon Red if there’s time).
